The WACFPO functions as an advisor to the Vice President for Finance, Operations and Treasurer, and has the following responsibilities:

To recommend policies, programs or procedures which will ensure full freedom of opportunity in employment for women support staff employed by Michigan State University
To assist the University community in the development of a favorable climate which will enhance the status of women and provide for their consistent advancement throughout the employment system to its highest level.
To alert the administration to and recommend solutions for problem areas related to women support staff
To serve as liaison between women support staff and the University administration

The WACFPO welcomes ongoing input from all women support staff. WACFPO's role is to provide the Vice President for Finance, Operations and Treasurer with a wide range of views on issues women support staff face as MSU employees. WACFPO meetings are open to the public. Women support staff are welcome to join us. We would like to encourage you to contact members of the committee to discuss any concerns you have that we can bring to the committee. The meetings are usually held at 1:15 pm on the third Tuesday of the month in room 443B Administration Building.
